The same is true in the workplace. Your work game relates to knowing the nature of the relationship and the role required of you. If you want to move forward and develop better relationships, you need to know what you want and how to cultivate the relationship through better communication skills.
There’s a ton of books about how to communicate better—with your spouse, with your boss, with your co-workers. I’m not going to go into a long-winded explanation about how to communicate; I just want you to be very aware that to be successful in business, you need to communicate fairly.
It’s a simple process. Think before you talk. It’s planning your shot—know what you are dealing with and make your best play.
